The present study was it was aimed to compare the distances between posterior mandibular teeth and alveolar process in subjects with different facial and back normoclusion biotype. 100 study models and cephalometric radiographs of 100 subjects with normal occlusion were evaluated Trujillo, Peru. A prospective, transversal, comparative and observational study. A total of 400 teeth were evaluated. He proceeded to measure the distance from the center of the buccal surfaces of each tooth to the rear edge WALA with a modified digital caliper, while recognizing the biotype was through Index Vert in cephalometric radiographs. Groups with each facial biotype brachyfacial 38 subjects, 32 mesofacial and 30 dolicofacial were formed. Comparing the FA dimensions WALA between types of facial biotype was performed by ANOVA statistical test for independent groups. A level of significance of 5% was considered. It is concluded that there are no differences between the distance of mandibular posterior teeth to the alveolar process between mesofacial subjects dolicofacial and brachyfacial. This distance is increased progressively from 0.73 mm to 3.31 mm first molars molars in seconds.
