The objective of the present work is to evaluate the physical, chemical and microscopic examination of urine samples of Canis familiaris adults of the La Esperanza district, in order to determine the alterations that may occur. The samples were obtained by the cystocentesis technique and then processed in the clinical analysis laboratory. The most frequent alterations found on the physical examination of the urine are: yellow color, cloudy appearance and strong acid odor, followed by samples of yellow urine, turbid appearance and ammoniacal odor. The density found, most frequently in urine samples from Canis familiaris adults, was greater than 1,030. In the chemical examination the most frequent alteration is related to the presence of protein, alkaline pH presence of blood nitrite and hemoglobin and leukocytes. Microscopic examination of the urinary sediment found positive samples of bacterial urinary infection (IUB) with the presence of leukocytes, red blood cells and germs. Fifteen cases of Canis familiaris urine samples were found with physical, chemical and microscopic alterations of a total of 60 sampled canines representing 25% of the study population.
