Objective: The aim of this investigation is to determine whether gestational hiperdatia is a risk factor for neonatal complications. Material and Methods: A analytical, retrospective cohort study was conducted, in which we analyzed neonatal outcomes of 133 pregnancies of 41 weeks (exposed group) and outcomes of 133 pregnancies ended between 38 and 40 weeks of gestation on Belén hospital in Trujillo - 2015 Results: It was obtained an increased incidence of macrosomia (29.32%) and meconium aspiration syndrome (15.04%) in patients with gestational hiperdatia compared to patients with term pregnancies (21.05% and 12.03% respectively); however no significant association was found (p = 0,120) (p = 0,473). A higher incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia in pregnant women of the unexposed group (24.81%) against the exposed group (15.04%) was observed, here a significant association was found (p = 0.046) Conclusions: Gestational Hiperdatia is not a risk factor for neonatal complications in the Belen Hospital in Trujillo in 2015.
