The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effects of the addition of vitamin C and mannanoligosaccharides (MOS) in the diet of the tilapia over the productive behavior of the tilapia during the development growing phase in summer on the coast of La Libertad region. For this purpose five treatments were evaluated: base diet without the addition of vitamin C and MOS(C0M0), diet with 600mg of vitamin C/kg of food and 0.5%de MOS (C6M05), diet with 600mg of vitamin C/kg of food and 1% of MOS(C6M10) and diet with 1200mg of vitamin of C/kg of food and 0.5% of MOS(12M05) and diet with 1200mg of vitamin of C/kg of food and 1% of MOS(C12M10). The tanks had a capacity of 300 liters of water and one was located in the Campus II of the “Antenor Orrego Private University” . There were 320 tilapias that were used in the growing phase with an average initial weight of 56 grams, and were spread out through a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five treatments and four repetitions in each treatment. Each repetition had 16 tilapias and were evaluated for a period of 4 months. The results obtained in the indicators of the quality of the water such as pH, ammonium and nitrates were found to be within the acceptable range of 6.7 - 7-3, 0.01mg/l and 0.02 - 0.03 mg/l respectively. The temperature fluctuated between 25.8 and 26.4° C for the 9 hours and between 26.1 and 26.6° C for the 12 hours. The use of the vitamin C and MOS in the diet of the tilapia improved the productive behavior (food consumption, weight gain and feed conversion rates) in comparison to the ones that did not receive these additives. The combination of vitamin C and MOS in the diet of the tilapia did not show any significant interaction.
