In order to evaluate the effect of the use of glutamine and glutamic acid on the broiler diet on the productive yield and the profitability of the breeding, 96 male broilers of the Cobb500 line, of 0 days of age with Average initial weight of 43.5 g, evaluated for 42 days in 3 phases: onset (0-14 days), growth (14-35 days) and finishing (35-42 days); Broilers were distributed through a completely randomized design in three treatments (0, 0.2 and 0.4% inclusion of glutamine and glutamic acid in the diet during the onset and growth phases) and four replicates. The diets were formulated to meet the nutritional needs of broiler chickens at each stage, having the same nutritional and energetic value. The results were analyzed through analysis of variance and the means compared by the Tukey test. Significant differences were observed in the onset phase between days 7-14 and the growth phase between days 28-35, in weight gain and feed conversion without affecting feed intake, thus achieving a higher profitability due to To the highest gross profit in the supplemented chickens. These results allowed to conclude that the use of glutamine and glutamic acid in broiler diets at levels of 0.2% and 0.4% improves productive and economic yield.
