In building projects, developed by the traditional delivery model projects Design / Bid / Build, design documents and engineering are made in the design stage by architects, consultants and designers of engineering, playing an important role in projects construction as moving the needs and requirements of the customer drawings and specifications. These documents, containing all the information necessary to carry out the construction, are the basis for the tender process and subsequently delivered to the contractor as official documents to start with implementation. Ideally, the contract documents of the construction project should be complete, accurate, without conflicts and ambiguities, but unfortunately this is rarely found and very often the contractor begins construction inconsistent, incorrect or incomplete documents, requiring therefore , clarifications that need to be answered by the architects and designers in the building process. When this is the case, it is essential that information is delivered to the contractor efficiently and without delay, otherwise it could affect the efficiency during the project. design deficiency as ““a deficiency in the design or specifications““ is defined. The most common design deficiencies are classified into two types: (1) Conflicts or discrepancies between plans and specifications of the contract documents, (2) lack of interdisciplinary coordination, (3) Lack of constructability.
