In this paper is performed a structural analysis and design of a 5-story multifamily building with a roof, located in the district of Trujillo. On each floor it has 2 secondary bedrooms, 1 main bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 1 service yard, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 entry, in addition it has a garden and parking only on 1st floor. Rooftop has 1 corridor, 4 laundry, 1 terrace, 1 storage and 2 bathrooms. The depth of the foundation is -1.50 m from the natural ground level. The foundation soil is a poorly graded sand containing mud and gravels (SP) even without the presence of groundwater according to the study of soils in the area and has a bearing capacity of 1.08 Kg / cm2. In both directions of analysis was considered a structural walls system to comply with the requirements of the Draft Standard E.030 - 2014 (seismic design).For ceilings in one direction lightened slabs was considered, but the area of stairs was considered solid slab. The foundation consists of isolated and combined footings. The building was modeled in ETABS program to do the seismic analysis (drifts) and structural analysis (internal forces). Gravity loads were analyzed by quantifying the loads for each element and assigning these loads the corresponding structural model. The reinforced concrete design was carried out in compliance with the standard specified in E.060 rules from the RNE, which is based on the design method LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design).
