This research was realized in order to determine the relation between Emotional Intelligence and Social Behavior in students in the fifth year of high school of Educative Institute, Trujillo - 2014. The study is Descriptive – Correlational, in a population of 116 subjects (87 males and 29 females) between the ages of 15 and 17 years old. Inventory ICE Bar-On – NA and Socialization Battery (BAS - 3) was used. The results indicate that self and hetero-acceptance of the emotional world, as well as stress management, adaptability and general mood kept significant directly relation to the scales consideration for others and leadership, along with a direct and highly significant correlation with the self-control in social relations. Furthermore, an inverse correlation was seen with social withdrawal and social anxiety / shyness areas of a significant and highly significant nature, respectively. Recommends promoting development focused on strengthening selfawareness and emotional management programs as well as socially inclusive and adaptive behaviors.
