The objective of study was to determine the degree of compatibility of aggregates, their optimum percentage and design of hot-mix asphalt and cold asphalt cement prepared with PEN 60/70 and asphalt emulsion CSS-1 HP and aggregates from the quarry San Martin these are the ones that determined through the Marshall method, in the city of Trujillo - La libertad, It through obtaining laboratory test methods for mechanical soil and asphalt pavements Mixes in hot and cold, to facilitate the processing of these tests are utilized, tables, graphs, images, etc. In addition to the support of standards and parameters proposed by MTC, AASHTO and ASTM respectively. This project was made with the quarry San Martin located at Kilometer 590 + 700 on the North Panamerican Highway, According to the analysis of the results of tests by Marshall method the optimum percentage of asphalt hot mix asphalt cement by employing PEN 60/70 has a value of 6% with a design 55% of coarse aggregate and 45% fine aggregate. In the result also it made to the Marshall method of mix asphalt cold its optimum percentage employed asphalt emulsion CSS-1 HP has a value of 6% with a design of 55% coarse aggregate and 45% fine aggregate, we must also take into for the mixture that We have a 60% asphalt emulsion and 40% water. According to the stability performance of hot mix asphalt have as a result of 11817 N (1205 Kg) and an asphalt mixture cold is worth 10963N (1118Kg), these results conform to the specifications for heavy traffic the folder and base, according to mentioned by the American institute for Marshall design asphalt.
