The present study was aimed to determine the relationship between the prevalence of dental caries and sugar consumption of QaliWarma program and school snack for children 3 to 8 years Quirihuac, Laredo - 2013 The prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive, observational study was conducted in Educational Institutions No. 81524 and No. 1722 Quirihuac village center and included a total of 120 students aged 3 to 8 years old. To determine the prevalence of dental caries and the DMFT index CO was used to define the type of sugar I classify into two groups: intrinsic and extrinsic sugars were evaluated for a week. To determine the correlation between the prevalence of dental caries and the type of sugar consumed QaliWarma and school snack program in children 3 to 8 years of the town center Quirihuac the chi-squared distribution for independence of criteria was used. The significance level was seen at 5%. The results show that there is a relationship between the prevalence of dental caries and the type of sugar consumed in QaliWarma program and school snack for children 3 to 8 years Quirihuac, Laredo - 2013.
