The present applied research, conducted with an explanatory scope, longitudinal approach and a quasi-experimental design, aimed to determine the effect of the program “I have fun creating with my body“ for the development of creativity in 4-year-old children of an initial educational institution in Trujillo in the year 2022. For this purpose, there was an experimental group of 20 4-year-old children, composed of 7 boys and 13 girls, as well as a control group of 20 children of the same age, composed of 10 boys and 10 girls, to whom a checklist was administered to evaluate their creativity before and after the implementation of the selected program. The results indicated in the pre-test that the experimental group presented a medium level of creativity in 70.0%, a low level in 25.0%, and a high level in 5.0%; on the other hand, the control group presented a medium level in 90%, a low level in 5%, and a high level in 5%. As for the post-test, it was observed that the entire experimental group presented a high level of creativity, while the control group presented a medium level of 80%, a low level of 15%, and a high level of 5%. Regarding the inferential analysis, by means of the Mann-Whitney U test, the findings indicated that the application of the program has significant effects on the creativity of 4-year-old children, as well as on their originality, innovation and flexibility dimensions, with a value of 0.000 respectively
