The aim of this paper is to investigate the use of metal forms, which are rarely used in our country, as a technical solution to accelerate the construction of vertical elements in concrete buildings. We expect to deliver enough information to make a comparison between metal and any other forms present in the current market technology. We worked with leading companies in the market, where technical and economic characteristics of all models and systems used were obtained. In addition, he spoke with experienced users and works where the technologies are used, whereby the information necessary for completion of the work was completed were visited. An analysis of the problems that often occur in each system, as well as the advantages and disadvantages that this was also done, so that the risks of each type of formwork were identified. As a final result we conclude that the use of metal molds can accelerate the process of building walls compared to traditional systems, maintaining a high level of quality, but its implementation in a particular building, as is the case of elevators and escalators of an office building, it is more expensive per m2. However, by allowing greater speed of construction, there are significant economies not only overhead, but also a better ordering of the work difficult aspect to quantify.
