Determine if anemia is a pronostic factor associated to letality in patients with acute miocardial infarction at Belen Trujillo Hospital. Methods: Was conduced a analitic, observational, retrospective, cases and controls investigation. The study population was conformed for 100 patients with acute miocardial infarction in order to inclusion and exclusion criteries distributed in 2 groups: death or survivors. Results: The estadistical analysis about the variables in study like risk factors were: 1) mild anemia (OR: 3.70; p<0.05), 2) moderate anemia (OR: 5.18; p<0.05), 3) sebere anemia (OR: 5.93; p<0.05). Conclusions: Mild, moderate and severe anemia is a prognostic factor associated to letality in patients with acute miocardial infarction at Belen Trujillo Hospital. No stadistical differences were meeting related to age, sex and procedence between both of study groups.
