Determine the association of nutritional status and scoliosis in Trujillo schoolchildren. Material and Method: A cross-sectional observational cross-sectional study was carried out. The sample consisted of 411 observed and surveyed schoolchildren of I.E 81014 Pedro Mercedes Ureña during December 2019, the sample was made up of 411 schoolchildren who met the inclusion criteria. Results: 59.1% (243 schoolchildren) were overweight, 24.8% showed a normal nutritional status. 30.7% (126 schoolchildren) presented scoliosis. Overweight occurred in 64.3% of cases with scoliosis (81 schoolchildren) and in 56.8% without it (162 schoolchildren). The establishment of an association between nutritional status and scoliosis showed no significant statistical difference (X2 = 7.25; p = 0.064; p> 0.05). The average age was 9.12 ± 2.11; 31% of schoolchildren with scoliosis were 10 years old and 16.8% were not; 58.4% (240 schoolchildren) were women, 66.7% with scoliosis were female versus 54.7% without this sign. 17.5% (72 schoolchildren) presented flat feet, 21.4% with scoliosis versus 15.8% without it; The lying position was identified in 73% (300 schoolchildren), 73.8% with scoliosis and 72.6% without it. Age, gender, flatfoot and type of position showed no statistically significant difference in scoliosis (p = 0.41, 0.19, 0.42 and 0.89 respectively). Conclusions: Nutritional status was not associated with scoliosis. Age, gender, flat plane and the type of position for watching television are not associated with scoliosis.
