The objective of this research was to establish the effects of nopal mucilage as a natural additive on the impermeability and compressive strength of a conventional concrete of design f'c= 210 kg/cm2. The research methodology was applied with a quantitative approach with an explanatory level of experimental design. The population and sample consisted of 42 cylindrical specimens using f'c=210 kg/cm2 as a standard, divided into two parts, one consisting of 36 cylindrical specimens, measuring 10cm x 20cm and the other of 6 specimens, 2 for each mix design. The cylindrical specimens were made in 15cm x 30cm molds, the height of the cylindrical specimens was no less than 15 cm, since they were cut to have a uniform surface. The data collection was through direct observation techniques and instruments, documentary analysis and laboratory tests. The result was that the compressive strength of the cylindrical cores of the project are acceptable, the design strength of F'C 210kg/GM2, at early ages and at 28 days, exceed the values of the design strength F'C 210kl/GM2 with the addition of cactus mucilage at 4% and 6%, meeting the strength parameters of the concrete. It is concluded that the addition of nopal mucilage in a concrete of F'C 210kg/GM2 is feasible since it increases the compressive strength, as well as the impermeability
