The present work had as objective to establish a project management to reduce the risks of accidents in the case of the execution of the maintenance of the oxidation lagoon that is located in Zorritos, Tumbes. In this way, to be able to meet this objective, project management was developed taking various considerations, first an identification of the risks found was carried out, of which the most frequent were considered and it could be said that they stand out in wastewater maintenance works, as well as It was possible to identify the causes that cause each of them to become a risk, a work team was prepared according to the field of application, for which it was essential to carry out a work plan where the risks were determined, to to be able to organize risk management and giving responsibilities to the workers according to their position, going on to identify the risks of each of the activities, proposed solution ideas so that they can be prevented, finally the elaboration was carried out control measures to reduce risks. As a final result, it was possible to obtain a management proposal that meets all the objectives set, managing to optimally reduce accidents that occurred in the work center on site
