The present work focused on identification of radiolinks that have less signal fluctuation as a function of frequency and surface refractivity, when evaluated by means of simulation in 6 GHz band between two locations in the Peruvian jungle corresponding to the cities of Iquitos and Indiana, which are part of a backbone network that interconnects the rural areas of that region. For simulation purposes, typical technical characteristics of microwave equipment used in the Peruvian telecom radio networks were used, obtaining received signal reports for different pairs of transmitting and receiving antenna heights. The results in the first analysis showed for most of transmission and reception antenna heights, a remarkable variability of the received signal as a function of frequency, likewise this analysis showed lower fluctuations for specific height values. The antenna heights of Tx/Rx corresponding to the links with the least fluctuation as a function of frequency, were selected and subjected to a second analysis by varying the characteristic surface refractivity of the zone. The final result showed that the Tx/Rx pairs of lower height obtained less variability of the received signal. The details of the analysis and results are shown in the final part of the work.
