The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between Implanon NXT and body mass index in women from the El Bosque Health Center, Trujillo 2023, through a study with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, correlational level and retrospective type. The sample consisted of 81 medical records of women who underwent Implanon NXT between the years 2021-2022, so a data collection form was used, validated by 3 experts on the subject. The results found were that the women who use Implanon NXT are mostly in the young life stage 54.3%, 44.4% have completed secondary school and 40.7% are cohabitants, according to time Of use of Implanon NXT, 16% used it for 32 months, 37% for 31 months and 21% for 28 months. Regarding the initial BMI, it was 24.41 ± 2.65 kg/m2 and the final BMI, 25.83 ± 2.70 kg/m2 although a minimal variation was evident with significance of P < 0.001. In conclusion, it was determined that there is no relationship between the study variables with a significance of P> 0.05.
