Objective: To define the relationship of harmful habits such as the consumption of alcohol, tobacco, coffee, energy drinks and poor diet with uninvestigated dyspepsia in medical students from a private university in Peru. Material and methods: An analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out in which 186 university students were included, according to selection criteria which were divided according to the presence or not of dyspepsia, the chi square and the ratio statistician were calculated of prevalence. Results: The average age was significantly higher in the group of university students with dyspepsia compared to the group without dyspepsia (p<0.05); In the bivariate analysis, alcohol consumption, tobacco consumption, coffee consumption, energy consumption and poor diet were identified as risk factors for dyspepsia (p<0.05); In the multivariate analysis through logistic regression, the statistical significance is corroborated for the variables alcohol consumption, tobacco consumption, coffee consumption, consumption of energizers and poor diet as risk factors for dyspepsia (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between harmful habits such as the consumption of alcohol, tobacco, coffee, energy drinks and poor diet with uninvestigated dyspepsia in medical students from a private university in Peru
