Objectives: to determine if there is an association between the risk of eating disorder and anxiety in medical students during social isolation. Materials and methods: An observational, sectional, transversal, analytical with a sample of 124 human medicine students from the Antenor Orrego Private University, who met the selection criteria. Separated into two groups: with TCA risk or without TCA risk; the odds ratio and the chi square test were calculated in the statistical analysis. The data were obtained through a virtual survey. Results: The frequency of females was significantly higher in the group of students at risk of eating disorder than in the group without this risk. The frequency of anxiety in college students at risk of eating disorder was 41%. The frequency of anxiety in college students without risk of eating disorder was 19%. Anxiety is a risk factor for eating disorder in medical students with an odds ratio of 3, with statistical significance (p <0.05). Conclusions: There is an association between the risk of eating disorder and anxiety in medical students during social isolation.
