The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the use of social media and the decision to buy Cruelty Free makeup in Generation Z women in Piura. With a basic quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design of simple correlational cross-section, the instrument that was applied was the questionnaire adapted from (Abad, 2019) for the use of social media and purchase decision, which were validated by expert judgment through the Aiken V, whose results were 0.79 and 0.81, which being greater than 0.70, it can be concluded that the instrument was reliable; the population was 152,747 women witha sample of 384 women generation Z. the data analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS software version 25, for which descriptive statistics were used to determine the level of the variables use of social media and purchase decision, whose resultswere that 79.9% showed a high level of use of social media and 82.3% an averagelevel of purchase decision. It was concluded that there is a relationship between theuse of social media and purchase decision, with a Kendall Tau b correlation coefficient r= 0.331 that is between the intervals 0.20 to 0.39; this result indicates that there is a low correlation in Generation Z women in Piura.
