The present research titled “Direct experiences as a strategy to develop scientific thinking in 4-year-old infants of the Nova School Private Educational Institution, El Porvenir – 2023, had the objective of determining the influence of direct experiences to develop scientific thinking in infants of 4 years of the I.E.P Nova School, El Porvenir – 2023 proposing experiential experiences as an educational strategy to promote scientific thinking in 4-year-old children, being an applied research with a pre-experimental design. The census population consisted of 17 boys and girls aged 4 years. Likewise, the rubric was used as an instrument, this instrument has a total of 20 items and was validated through expert judgment, achieving a high level of reliability of .896 through Cronbach's Alpha. Subsequently, the pre-test and post-test were applied after applying direct experiences as an educational strategy, the results of which were validated through the “Student t” test. When performing the t-test, to compare samples of the scientific thinking variable, the scores obtained from the post-test and pre-test, a significance less than 0.05 (Sig=0.000) was obtained, therefore, it could be stated that there are statistically significant differences. The results concluded that 4-year-old infants obtained a high level of performance in scientific thinking with a score of 64.7%, the average level with 35.3% and 0% at a low level as a result of having applied the method of direct experiences. Therefore, we affirm that it is crucial to promote direct experiences as an educational strategy, which will contribute to significantly strengthening the investigative skills that comprise scientific thinking in the comprehensive education of the infant.
