Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in relation to public health are part of a great problem throughout the world, they show much higher costs for the health system we have. Situations such as the need for sexual exploration are involved in younger people, allowing this way the risk factor to increase a STD, due to the attitudes and practices of sexual behaviors carried out by this population. Objective: Determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices associated with the development of sexually transmitted diseases in Residents of neighborhood Leticia Mancora 2022 Material and method: An observational, analytical, cross-sectional, prospective study will be carried out, taking primary data collected through surveys with the “Scale on Knowledge of HIV and other modified STDs”, the population study will be the Residents of neighborhood Leticia Mancora 2022. Results: It was found that the level of knowledge under (PR 2.79, 95% CI 1.41 to 5.52, p = 0.003); and inappropriate attitudes and practices (PR of 1.97, 95% CI 1.15 to 3.35, p value = 0.013). Conclusions: The low level of knowledge presents 2.79 risk of presenting STD compared to the high knowledge level. In relation to attitudes and practices, a significant association was found, with people with inappropriate attitudes and practices 1.97 presenting the risk of developing STDs compared to those with adequate ones.
