Identify the main risk factor for postoperative morbidity in high ligadure due to colorectal cancer in the oncological surgery area of the Virgen de la Puerta Material and Methods: The present study included 33 patients with postoperative colorectal cancer for high ligation, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A retrospective case-control design was followed. The Chi square test and/or the two-tailed Fisher's exact test were used. The odds ratio with 95% confidence intervals was used for risk quantification. The alternative hypothesis will be accepted if the p-value > 0.05 Results: When performing the statistical analysis of the variables age, BMI and sex, they were not found to be statistically significant (p >0.05); Regarding the variables primary tumor, lymph node stage, clinical stage and tumor size, none is statistically significant (p > 0.05) and the variables intraoperative blood transfusions, operative time and type of surgery none are statistically significant (p> 0.05). Conclusion: There is no association of clinical, pathological and surgical risk factors with postoperative morbidity in high ligation for colorectal cancer (p>0.05)
