The present research work has the purpose of estimating the geotechnical parameters and elaborating geotechnical maps in the soils of the southern zone of the district of Trujillo. Statistical and geostatistical analyzes were used to carry out these evaluations. The methodology used in this research begins with the collection of information from laboratory tests, obtained by the Engineering Company SL for the construction of a database. Subsequently, the data is grouped according to Sucs and according to the geological information of the area. Next, said information is analyzed in Statistical Software (Minitab) obtaining its most significant statistical parameters with their confidence intervals, the Normality Test to see if the data fit a normal distribution and the correlations between the identification parameters of the mechanics of floors. Likewise, a geostatistical analysis of the database in GIS software (ArcMap) was carried out, obtaining outcrop maps, called geotechnical maps according to their soil classification. In short, this thesis aims to contribute to a better knowledge of the reliability of the geotechnical parameters (Identification, state and salts) that characterize the soil, which leads to a much better understanding of its mean values and their dispersion in said parameters, contrasting those calculated from acceptable intervals, in case these values are not within said ranges, it may be affected by many random factors at the time of processing. This technique can be improved by intensifying geotechnical campaigns and increasing the number of tests. In the same way, maps will be provided where the geotechnical classification of the soils in the south of Trujillo will be displayed, which will help to have a preliminary recognition of the Subsoil, which can be used by the construction environment.
