Objetive: To determine if the attitude towards Information and Communication Technologies is a factor associated with academic stress in non face-to-face medical education in students. Material and methods: An analytical, transversal study was carried out with a census population of 309 regular students from the 6th to 12th cycle enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine of the Antenor Orrego Private University during the 2020-I academic semester in non-attendance medical education; the ICT attitude form and the academic stress inventory were applied to them. The data were obtained through virtual surveys and the non-parametric statistical test, Pearson's Chi-square, was used for the analysis. Results: The students evaluated were mostly female (57.3%) with an overall average age of 23 ± 3 years. The 55.7% presented rejection to the ICT; while 44.3% presented acceptance. With regard to the frequency with which the most academic stress occurred in students with rejection of ICTs, it was of medium intensity in 24.9%, followed by medium-high intensity with 12.9%. An association was found between attitude towards ICT and academic stress (p<0.05). Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a statistically significant inverse relationship between the attitude towards ICT and academic stress levels in medical students with non face-to-face education at the Antenor Orrego Private University.
