To determine whether the quickSOFA scale is effective as a predictor of mortality in patients with Fournier's gangrene in Hospital Belén de Trujillo. Material and methods: Analytical, observational, retrospective cohort study, conducted at Hospital Belen of Trujillo, with a sample of patients diagnosed with Fournier's gangrene from July 2011 to June 2022, who met the selection criteria and to whom the quickSOFA scale was calculated at emergency admission, as described in the medical records. Results: From a total of 49 patients, we identified that the frequency of in-hospital mortality in patients with Fournier's Gangrene with a High Risk quickSOFA scale was 75%, and the frequency of in-hospital mortality in patients with Fournier's Gangrene with a Low Risk quickSOFA scale was 10%. We determined that the quickSOFA scale is a predictor of in-hospital mortality in patients with Fournier's gangrene (RR: 7.25; 95% CI 1.9 - 13.4, p<0.05). In addition, multivariate analysis through logistic regression corroborates that there is a significant association for the following variables: Age over 60 years (RR 4.9, 95% CI 1.8 - 13.4, p<0.05). 9, 95% CI 1.8 - 9.1), diabetes mellitus (RR 4.7, 95% CI 1.6 - 839), obesity (RR 5.2, 95% CI 2.1 - 9.5), chronic kidney disease (RR 5.1, 95% CI 2.3 - 10.1) and elevated quickSOFA (RR 5.6, 95% CI 2.5 - 0.8) as risk factors for in-hospital mortality in Fournier's Gangrene. Conclusion: The quickSOFA scale is effective as a predictor of mortality in patients with Fournier's gangrene in Hospital Belen of Trujillo.
