With the objective of determining the relationship between the perception of virtual education and academic performance in obstetrics students during the pandemic at a university in Trujillo, 2021, a basic, descriptive and non-experimental study was carried out in a sample of 163 students, who met inclusion and exclusion criteria, to whom a questionnaire was applied on the perception of virtual education and the academic performance of the students, with a reliability according to Cronbach's alpha of 0.950 and an Aiken V index of 1. It was found that 90.2% were female and 85.9% came from the urban area; 85.9% have regular academic performance and 64.4% perceive the virtual education received during the 2021-20 period as moderately favorable; academic performance does not vary according to sex and area of origin; the perception of virtual education is similar in both sexes and in rural and urban areas. However, with a Tau-b = 0.0718, it is concluded that there is no correlation between the perception of virtual education and academic performance.
