The following is a study on the presence of the elements of nonverbal communication in the process of interaction between the clowns of the Ñatos de Risa group and children hospitalized in the pediatric ward of the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital in 2018; for this, a three-month study (July, August and September) was carried out. A different couple visited hospitalized children three Sundays per month. Through observation sheets, field diary and video recording of each session, plus the surveys applied to patients (over 3 years old) after the visit of the clowns, it was possible to collect the necessary information, which He did the analysis. The information collected in the thirty-four quarters made it clear that the CNV elements considered for this investigation (paralinguistic, kinetic, proxemic, chronological, physical characteristics, tactile behavior, artifacts, environmental factors and their subcomponents) are present and related in the interaction process because most of the communication that a human being carries out is the CNV and is unconsciously arisen in most of the time. It was also found that some elements such as environmental factors, physical, kinetic, proxemic, chronological, paralinguistic characteristics are practically unavoidable, while artefacts and tactile behavior are complementary but no less important elements. In addition, it was possible to show the decrease in pain in children and their improvement in their mood after the visit of the clowns. Based on these findings, a manual was proposed for clowns who wish to do hospital work where CNV guidelines are proposed and presented to improve their development and nurture the vision of their work.
