Análisis del caudal pluvial resultante en la cuenca urbana Los Rosales, Ubicado en el Distrito de Piura

Abstract

El presente trabajo de tesis tiene como objetivo analizar el caudal pluvial de la cuenca urbana “Los Rosales”, la cual año a año durante el periodo lluvioso presenta inconvenientes de inundación en algunos puntos y la imposibilidad de drenar dichas masas de agua de manera natural hacia un curso mayor. Para el cálculo del caudal se empleó el método racional. Este método requiere información de entrada obtenida a través de estudios realizados a la zona de investigación, tales como levantamiento topográfico, estudio de mecánica de suelos y registros hidrológicos y meteorológicos. También se evaluó la capacidad de drenaje existente en las vías públicas y del canal de drenaje, ubicados en el interior de la cuenca, a través del método de Manning para canales abiertos, verificando que se encuentran en condiciones de evacuar el volumen de agua calculado. El resultado de la investigación fue que las dimensiones y pendientes de las vías y canales de drenaje son suficientes para evacuar el caudal pluvial en la cuenca urbana Los Rosales. Sin embargo, la problemática de la topografía de la cuenca hace necesario proponer un nuevo sistema de drenaje que complemente al existente. Dicho sistema consiste en la construcción de sumideros de calzada, una red subterránea de drenaje pluvial y el mejoramiento del canal de drenaje existente.

The objective of this Thesis research is to analyze the fluvial flow of the urban watershed “Los Rosales”, where every year, during the rainy months, it presents flooding in some low points and the impossibility of draining these water masses naturally toward a higher course. First, flow was calculated by the rational method. This method needs some input information, and it was obtained through studies carried out in the research area, such as topographic survey, study of soil mechanics, and hydrological and meteorological records. Also, existing draining capacity of the streets and drainage channel, both inside the watershed, was evaluated through Manning method for open channels, checking they have the capacity to take the calculated water volume out of watershed. Research results in slope and dimensions of streets and channel are enough to evacuate the flow in Los Rosales watershed. However, the topography situation of the basin makes necessary to propose a new drainage system, complementing the existing one. This system consists of the construction of roadway drains, an underground pluvial drainage network and the improvement of the existing drainage channel.
