The objective of this research was to determine to what extent the structural design of the flexible pavement recovers service conditions in Av. Federico Villarreal between the Prolongation Unión and the Industrial Highway. The population was made up of Av. Federico Villarreal blocks located between Av. Prolongation Unión and Carretera industrial. The MTC Highway Manual and the AASHTO Pavement Structures Design Guide - 1993 were used as instruments. The results allow us to conclude: Regarding the general objective, the structural design of flexible pavement was calculated with an SNR of 2.941, with a dimension of 6 cm of asphalt layer, 20 cm of base and 20 cm of sub-base, which would return the serviceability status to 4 as established by the norm up to a serviceability status of 2.5 in 10 years; The soil study was carried out, from which it is inferred that the soil composition is formed by a surface layer of hardened concrete, supported by fine-grade silty clay sand identified by the Unified Soil Classification System (SUCS) as SC SM. The CBR of the silty clayey material is located in the ranges of CA-001 95% = 15.52, CA-002 95% = 17.10 y CA-003 95% = 23.2. Recommending the placement of a granular sub-base layer (concrete, specifications in annex). Which will have the function of preventing the fines of the subgrade from contaminating the base layer, absorbing deformations due to volumetric changes in the subgrade and acting as a filter to drain water, which is introduced through the layer or the berms or to prevent the ascent capillary and reduce the cost of the pavement. The traffic study was carried out, showing an ESAL OF 2’,059,831, which classifies it as TP6 (Heavy traffic 6); The study of the Resilient and/or elastic modulus was 14,776.16 psi, the reliability for TP6 was 85%, Zr = -1.036, So = 0.45; The present serviceability index was PI = 4 and the final serviceability index PT was 2.5; The SNR structural number found was of 2.941, finding the coefficients a1 = 0.170, a2 = 0.052 and a3 = 0.047 according to the MTC manual, the drainage coefficients were assumed m2, m3 =1, according to the manual, finding by trial and error d1 = 6, d2 = 20 and d3 = 20, this would restore its current state to a serviceability level of 4 which is ideal.
