Our research work is oriented to carry out an economic technical study for the acquisition of a BOBCAT backhoe loader that the company JJN CIEM EIRL uses in its operations by renting to other service companies. This way of operating the company was a latent problem because the annual rental costs are quite high, which reduces the profits of the company. The study began with an economic and financial analysis of the company, obtaining values of -2.66% and -3.92% for 2020 and 20.33% and 16.88% for 2019 respectively. The negative values of profitability were due to the effect of the pandemic but not for internal reasons related to its operational finances; Afterwards, the quotations were made in the market to locate a supplier who will sell us a machine according to our needs and then analyze its economic and financial viability. After conducting the study, a relevant economic and financial profitability of the project was determined for the year 2021 with values of 17.85% and 16.66% respectively. Likewise, an economic profitability rate (EIRR) of 78.30% was obtained, well above the weighted average cost of the project's investment (WACC) of 23.01%, which shows the economic viability of the project. Similarly, a financial profitability rate of 271.78% was obtained, well above the opportunity cost of capital (COK) of 30.64%, which shows its financial viability
