Abstract: Objetivo: Determinar sí las medidas antropométricas aumentadas son factores de
riesgo para nefropatía diabética.
Material y Método: Investigación de tipo transversal analítica, se seleccionó de
acuerdo a criterios de inclusión y exclusión a 76 pacientes con diagnóstico de
Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 en el consultorio externo de Endocrinología y Medicina en
el Hospital Belén Trujillo, entre el periodo de junio y julio 2019. Se realizó el análisis
estadístico con Chi cuadrado y como medida de riesgo Odds Ratio de prevalencia.
Se estableció como significancia estadística a p<0,05.
Resultados: La edad promedio fue 55.4± 11.2 comparando con los que no tienen
nefropatía diabética 55.0±10.6, el tiempo de enfermedad fue 8.8±6.9(con nefropatía
diabética) y 8.4±7.0 (sin nefropatía diabética) respecto a las medidas
antropométricas aumentadas utilizando el Chi cuadrado de Pearson fue p >0.05.
Así mismo para el sexo, Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 controlada, retinopatía, neuropatía
e hipertensión se obtuvo p >0.05.
Conclusiones: Las medidas antropométricas aumentadas no son factores de
riesgo para nefropatía diabética asimismo no hubo significancia estadística con el
sexo, edad, tiempo de enfermedad, Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 controlada, retinopatía,
neuropatía e hipertensión.

Material and method: Analytical cross-sectional research, selection according to inclusion and exclusion criteria of 76 patients with a diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus type 2 in the external clinic of Endocrinology and Medicine in the Hospital Belén Trujillo, between the period of June and July 2019. Statistical analysis was performed with Chi-square and as a measure of risk Odds Ratio prevalence. Statistical significance was established at p<0.05.
