This work was carried out in the facilities of the company Vivero Uniagro, located in Valdivia, district of Huanchaco, province of Trujillo, in the region of La Libertad; during the month of January 2015 to December 2018, in order to have a competitive advantage in the supply and production of citrus seedlings nationwide. The initiative was taken to import from the United States, genetic material of the rootstock Citrange c-35, to later perform the grafting of the variety Washington navel; thus achieving qualities such as finished seedlings that differ from the rootstocks already present in our country; such as tangerine cleopatra and lemon rugoso; rootstocks that have been used in the propagation of citrus plants, which due to their characteristics and behavior as the basis of a variety have presented results that are not suitable for the search for quality as a plant, also as in field production. For this reason, the rootstock Citrange c -35 was introduced, since it is tolerant to the sadness virus, also conferring greater vigor in its growth and root anchoring, in addition to having a good compatibility in the grafting of the Washington navel variety, improving growth, branching and fruit loading.During the development of this work, the propagation protocols carried out to obtain quality seedlings in nursery are detailed.
