Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of risk of dental erosion and the consumption of carbonated drinks in dentistry students, Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, Trujillo 2023. Material and methods: The study was observational, prolective, transversal and descriptive. The sample was 125 students over 18 years of age from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle. The level of risk of dental erosion was evaluated with the Basic Erosive Wear Examination (BEWE) index. A survey validated by expert judgment was applied that recorded sex, age, quantity and type of drink consumed. The Spearman test was used with a significance level of p=0.05. Results: There was a relationship between the level of risk of dental erosion and consumption of carbonated beverages (p = 0.015). There was a relationship between the variables in women (p=0.006), men (p=0.017); in age ranges from 18 to 20 (p =0.045), 21 to 23 (p=0.023); in type of drink, such as San Mateo sparkling water (p=0.048), sparkling agua cielo (p=0.001), Coca Cola (p=0.021), Coca Cola zero (p=0.032), Inka Cola (p=0.034). ), inka cola zero (p=0.011) and fanta (p=0.046). Conclusions: There is a relationship between the level of risk of dental erosion and the consumption of carbonated drinks in dentistry students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle, Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, Trujillo 2023
