Fournier's Gangrene is a polymicrobial infection, because it is caused by multiple aerobic and anaerobic bacteria that act synergistically and spread in the region affected by tissue necrosis. Objective: To determine the risk factors of Fournier's Gangrene in patients treated in the Department of Surgery at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital of Essalud Trujillo in the period 2009 - 2019. Methods: It is a retrospective Analytical and Cross-sectional work, in which clinical records were obtained from each patient Diagnosed with Fournier's Gangrene in the Department of Surgery at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital of Essalud Trujillo in the period 2009 - 2019. Results: A total of 30 cases with a diagnosis of Fournier's gangrene were found between the years 2009-2019, of which 93.30% correspond to the male sex and 6.70% to the female sex, the average age was 58.46 years and the factor the most important associated risk was Diabetes Mellitus Conclusion: Diabetes Mellitus and anorectal abscess associated with the male gender were the predominant risk factors in patients diagnosed with Fournier's Gangrene in the Department of Surgery at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital of Essalud Trujillo in the period 2009 - 2019
