The following research was carried out in neighborhoods 3A-3B, located in the Alto Trujillo district, Trujillo Province, La Libertad Region, where we made two proposals for the paving of the area, carrying out the structural design of the flexible pavement and rigid pavement, following the guidelines of the design methodology with standard parameters. A visit was made to the local roads and it was visualized that the roads are not paved with different elevations and irregular terrain, problems such as stagnation of sewage in some sections of the road, where the main problem is the trafficability of vehicles. We have an approximate width in all the roads of 6 to 10 meters in various sections of the road. Different engineering studies were carried out, as a first point we have the topography applied in the study area, with the objective of finding the profiles and longitudinal slopes between 0.5% and 4%, where the classification by orography described as undulating terrain; The second point was the study of vehicular traffic which allowed us to find the Average Daily Annual Index (IMDA) of vehicles/day, giving the classification by number of equivalent axles for the flexible pavement of 2.265928 and for the rigid pavement 2,403,139 containing one roadway, two lanes. We performed the Soil Mechanics Study with respect to the IMDA following the methodology proposed by the MTC where it was recommended to perform 6 test pits, we worked with an average CBR of 7. 6 % describing the subgrade as regular. Based on the data obtained, we proceeded to carry out the pavement design following the American Asstition of State Highway and Transportation Offcials (AASHTO 93) methodology, for flexible and rigid pavement, We found the thicknesses of the structural package for each methodology, where we compared economically the costs of each structural package, where we obtained by AASHTO 93 methodology, a flexible pavement with an asphalt layer thickness of 8 cm, a base of 22 cm and a subbase of 25 cm, with a direct cost of 7,582,531.96 and a rigid pavement with an asphalt layer thickness of 8 cm, a base of 22 cm and a subbase of 25 cm, with a direct cost of 7,582,531.96. 96 and a rigid pavement with a concrete slab thickness of 19 cm and a subbase of 15 cm, with a direct cost of 9,653,547.25, resulting in this design proposal as the most economica
