Nivel de estrés asociado al apoyo que brinda la enfermera al familiar cuidador en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Hospital Belén de Trujillo, 2019

Abstract

La presente investigación de tipo descriptivo-correlacional de corte transversal, se realizó con la finalidad de determinar el nivel de estrés asociado al apoyo que brinda la enfermera al familiar cuidador en la unidad de cuidados intensivos Hospital Belén de Trujillo 2019. La muestra estuvo conformada por 32 familiares cuidadores a los cuales se les aplicó dos instrumentos uno para identificar el nivel de estrés y el segundo el grado de apoyo que brinda la enfermera al familiar cuidador. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 31.3% de familiares cuidadores obtuvo nivel medio de estrés y nivel medio de apoyo de la enfermera, en tanto que el 28.1% obtuvo nivel alto de estrés y nivel bajo de apoyo de la enfermera, y el 6.3% obtuvo nivel bajo de estrés y nivel alto de apoyo de la enfermera. En conclusión se aprecia que el valor de la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado tiene un valor de 26.303 con nivel de significancia (p < 0.05), por lo tanto existe asociación del nivel de estrés y el apoyo que brinda la enfermera al familiar cuidador en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Belén de Trujillo, 2019.

The present descriptive-correlational cross-sectional investigation was carried out in order to determine the level of stress associated with the support provided by the nurse to the family caregiver in the Intensive Care Unit of the Belen Hospital of Trujillo, 2019. The sample consisted of 32 family caregivers to whom two instruments were applied, one to identify the level of stress and the second, the degree of support provided by the nurse to the family caregiver. The results showed that 31.3% of family caregivers obtained average level of stress and average level of support from the nurse, while 28.1% obtained high level of stress and low level of support from the nurse, and 6.3% obtained low level of stress and high level of support from the nurse. In conclusion, it can be seen that the value of the Chi square statistical test is 26,303 with a level of significance (p <0.05), therefore there is an association between the level of stress and the support provided by the nurse to the family caregiver in the Intensive Care Unit of the Belen Hospital of Trujillo, 2019.
