The objective of this research was to determine the influence of the children's story program “Fantabuloso” on the improvement of social skills in children of a private initial educational institution, Trujillo - 2022. The research is of an applied type, with a pre-experimental design. The sample was made up of 17 5-year-old boys and girls, who were evaluated with the Social Skills Checklist for Preschoolers (LCHS – PE) by Goldstein (1990), validated in Peru by Vizcardo (1999) and Ruiz (2002). . The results of the pre-test showed a predominance of the low level of Social Skills in the children evaluated. However, after the application of the “Fantabulous” program, it was possible to determine the predominance of a high level of Social Skills (post-test). Likewise, through the application of the student's “t“ statistical test, it was possible to establish the existence of a very significant difference (p<.01) in Social Skills and its six dimensions, between the results of the pre-test and the post-test, thus evidencing the effectiveness of the “Fantabuloso” children's story program in improving the evaluated ability, both in a general and specific way
