This project was developed throughout the Pre-professional Architectural Design workshops VIII and IX in the periods 2018-I and 2018-II. Its name is Geriatric Center with Assisted Residence in the city of Trujillo. Through various investigations we have been finding in what way a problem became an important need in society and how the various solutions to this need evolved. In our country, in 1953 the Peruvian Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology was founded in the Odriozola Room of the Dos de Mayo Hospital, and until the 1970s the Geriatric Units were established in the Police, Military and Aeronautical Hospitals. (Miguel Lladó, s.f., p.6). Finally, in 1983 the Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics of Peru was recognized by the Medical College of Peru. (Miguel Lladó, s.f., p.9) Over time, various centers were created for the care of the elderly, such as: The Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS), the Comprehensive Centers for Care for the Elderly (CIAM), the Centers for the Elderly (CAM) and the Circles for the Elderly (CIRAM). These centers benefit people over 60 years of age who have a socioeconomic situation of poverty or family abandonment. These centers would allow older adults to stay in their homes, making them have a better quality of life by being independent and staying integrated into their family and social environment. At the same time, it is determined that these centers would not replace the Geriatric Centers since over time these people need continuous care. Regarding the development of the architectural proposal, it is proposed that it be sustainable and ecological in order that the elderly can have a better service, benefiting and prolonging their health. In this way we can say that the proposed center is aimed at assisting the geriatric user and ensuring their physical and mental health, these users will find different equipment with various activities for their development
