To determine the level of knowledge about traumatic dental injuries in dental students in Trujillo, 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A prospective, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional study, a sample of 277 stomatology students from the Antenor Orrego Private University 2022 was evaluated, through a 20-question questionnaire about their knowledge about traumatic dental injuries, the form of application was in person. RESULTS: Most of the students surveyed showed a regular level of knowledge about dental trauma with 51.60%, followed by those who had a bad level of knowledge with 41.90% and only 6.5% presented a level of good knowledge. Regarding the study cycle, sixth cycle students predominated with a regular knowledge level of 56.8%, seventh cycle students mostly showed a regular knowledge level with 47.9%, eighth year students cycle showed a regular level of knowledge in 48.3% and finally those of ninth cycle also regular with 56.1%. In the Dentistry course of the Antenor Orrego Private University, male students had a higher level of good knowledge with 10.80% of their total and regular with 54.10% of their entire group; followed by the female gender that reached a good level of knowledge only in 4.9% followed by the regular level with 50.70%. CONCLUSION: The level of knowledge about traumatic dental injuries in dental students in Trujillo wass regular at 51.60%..
