The aim of the present study was to determine the difference resilience levels between male and female students of a state educational institution in El Porvenir. A comparative descriptive design was employed for substantive analysis. The population consisted of 300 secondary level students from a state educational institution in El Porvenir, a sample of 170 participants selected through non- probabilistic sampling. The Resilience Scale for Adolescents (ERA) by Prado and Del Águila (2000), adapted by Aponte (2004), was used for data collection. Results revealed a high level of resilience in males at 35.5% and a medium level in females represented by 46.8%. Furthermore, no statistically significant differences (p > .05) were found between the levels of the study variable, concerning gender, predominance of high levels was observed across dimensions; Interaction, Humor, Initiative, and Creativity ranged between 35.5% and 55.3%, while Insight and Morality dimensions showed a medium level reflected in 52.7% and 38.2%, except for the Independence indicator where an equal distribution between medium and high levels was observed. Finally, no statistically significant differences (p > .05) were found in dimension scores concerning to gender
