Streptomyces spp, have potential to inhibit the incidence of fungal phytopathogenic in crops due to their enzymatic activity and the production of secondary metabolites. This research sought to identify and evaluate in vitro the antifungal potential of 5 strains of Streptomyces spp. Isolated from desert soil against Colletotrichum spp. Isolates are Streptomyces spp, to determine their % inhibition, dual confrontation and well diffusion tests were used, a DCA was applied with 3 replicates. The inhibitory capacities of the 5 strains compared to Colletotrichum spp varied considerably; Strains Q – 84 and Q – 60 showed the highest % inhibition in dual confrontation with 92% and 88% respectively and in the test of diffusion in well the C.B. C which showed the% of inhibition higher was that of the strain Q-84 with 56%, compared to fungicides (AmistarTop® and Opera®) with % inhibition of 84% and 100% respectively, showing also the presence of lipases, cellulases and proteases; genetically, it turned out to have similarity to S. maritimus and S. rochei. In conclusion, the Q – 84 strain showed a potential to become an alternative to control over Colletotrichum spp.
