The main objective of this study was to determine how non-organic insomnia and anxiety were related in psychology students from a private university in Piura. The method used was the substantive and accompanied by a non-experimental design and correlational level. A total of 615 psychology students were studied, who were considered the study population, being men and women, from I to X cycle, from the University and the sample consisted of 237 students, which was chosen because it was not demonstrated. probabilistic. The research technique used has been psychometric and the Athens Insomnia Scale and the Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale were used as instruments. This indicates that 58.6% of all students show a medium degree in the anxiety variable, and that also 36.3% of the sample that is at a medium level of non-organic insomnia and 39.2% Of the university students who were surveyed and who belonged to the professional school of psychology of a private university in Piura, 26.6% have a high degree of organic insomnia and have a high level of anxiety. It is concluded that H1 is accepted, that is, that non-organic insomnia and university anxiety are frequently related in psychology university students with private funding from Piura, that is, the two variables are directly related.
