This work was developed on the roads of the San Jacinto and Monte Lima sector as a study, we will use applied research. The main objective was to carry out the structural design of the pavement to improve walkability, which is why the analysis and observation of all the conditions of our study area were taken into account. In this project, a flexible pavement and a rigid pavement were designed, the recommendations decreed in the Highway Manual were always taken into account: soils geology, geotechnics and pavements, the national building regulations: standard CE.010 urban pavements and standard GH.020 urban design components, very useful for designing the thicknesses of the layers of both pavements. Basic soil mechanics studies were carried out on 10 samples and a soil with low plasticity clay (CL) was obtained, presenting CBR1 of 6.10%; CBR2 of 6.20%, CBR3 of 6.40%, CBR4 of 6.20%; CBR5 of 8.00%; CBR6 of 6.80%; CBR7 of 6.40%; CBR8 of 6.20%; CBR8 of 8.10%, CBR9 of 8.10% and CBR10 of 6.10%. An ESSAL: 1,374,794.31 was obtained for the flexible pavement. The results obtained for the rigid pavement were 1,806,999.06. The final results for the flexible pavement design were, asphalt layer of 0.075 m, base of 0.25 m and subbase of 0.25 m, with a direct cost of S/. 9,076,653.42; for the rigid pavement, a 0.20 m concrete slab and for the base 0.15m with a direct cost of S/. 12,516,327.33
