To determine the association between cardiovascular risk factors and the severity of Psoriasis. Methodology: An analytical cross-sectional study was carried out that included patients diagnosed with psoriasis treated at the Dermatology outpatient clinic of the Belén de Trujillo Hospital between 2017 and 2022. Results: it was determined that 68.3% had severe psoriasis. The male sex predominated (57.6%). Diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension occurred in 22 and 27.3%, respectively. 4 people were classified as smokers (3%), likewise 34.1% of the patients were obese and 46.2% had dyslipidemia. Age over 60 years was associated with severity (PR: 1.30, 95% CI: 1.05-1.62, p=0.024). The male sex presented an association, with 65.9% of the patients with severe psoriasis being men and 39% of the non-severe group (PR: 1.43, 95%CI: 1.09-1.85, p=0.004). The time of disease was greater in the severity group (12.2 years versus 6.9 years, p<0.001). Obesity occurred in 41.8% of the severe patients and in 17.1% of the remaining group (RP:1.38, p=0.06), and regarding dyslipidemia, it occurred in 54.9 and 26.8% of the patients with severe and non-severe psoriasis, respectively (PR: 1.42, 95% CI: 1.13-1.79, p=0.003). Conclusions: Obesity and dyslipidemia are cardiovascular factors associated with the severity of psoriasis, just as the male sex was associated with it.
