Blood and blood product units are used all the time in various clinical cases. Blood plasma is a component derived from blood, representing 55% of the total blood volume, and it cannot be obtained directly but requires a procedure. For this reason, PRONAHEBAS has established quality criteria, emphasizing the equipment used to store these blood components. Among the five criteria, one stands out, referring to the temperature variation record. This criterion indicates that to ensure the quality of stored blood components, temperature variation should not exceed 4 hours, and this record should be readily available. Based on the above, to assess temperature variations, a study is proposed to develop a monitoring system for blood plasma temperature variation in the high-complexity hospital blood bank area. The main objective of the research was to evaluate the types of blood plasma freezers through IoT-based monitoring to determine temperature variations in the blood plasma in the High-Complexity Hospital Blood Bank area. The research level proposed was technological, involving the design of a proposal for evaluating temperature variation in blood plasma in the types of freezers in the High-Complexity Hospital Blood Bank area. It also had a descriptive design. Tables and figures with corresponding interpretations were used to present results, showing the temperature variation of blood plasma in -30°C freezers using the web application. It was observed that the blood plasma remains at a constant temperature unless affected by external factors, such as the door opening to introduce more blood plasma.
