The present investigation focuses on the estimation of heights in configuration of spatial diversity for a microwave radio link on the Peruvian coastal desert between the cities of Pacasmayo and Paiján. To this end, a characterization of the fades occurring at different transmitting and receiving antenna heights was made, identifying the pairs of heights (principal and diversity) in which the behavior of the signal becomes complementary. From the identification of these values, the refractive conditions of the link were varied, selecting only antenna height values with better correlation coefficients for the 7 GHz and 11 GHz frequency bands. The results present the 03 solutions with the best correlation coefficient, which are compared with an existing implementation, obtaining an average difference of 8% with the pre-existing antenna height values. In the final part of the work, the corresponding conclusions and recommendations are indicated.
