identifying environmental factors associated with the development of asthma in preschool children at santa rosa hospital in Piura Methodology: Analytical, observational, cross-sectional, prospective primary source of information, the sample size was 196 children Between two and five years, diagnosed with asthma. It was calculated with EPIDAT program and the selection method was for convenience. Results: The age of 4 years predominated in 41.83%, there was an average for the age of 4.03 years, the male sex in 59.18%, the marginal urban origin in 78.57% and the type of rustic housing in 42.35%. Intra-household factors in 94.3% do not have their own room and 60.72% do not have their own bed and inside the room there are stuffed animals. The environmental factors outside the home in 100% indicated that there was not adequate cleaning of the streets, there are piles of garbage and waste in 99.48% and the presence of stagnant water un 83.16%. Of the history found, the 97.59% indicated the presence of rhinitis or other types of allergies in the family, the 96.42% breastfed their children and in turn of 79.59% did not consume other types of food before 6 months. 100% of the reports in the last 12 months presented some episode of dry or phlegmy cough, accompanied by Chest whistle. Environmental factors associated with the development of asthma un children are: tue age with Fisher P: 0.036 and T Student P: 0.042, male gender with Fisher P: 0.04 and T Student p: 0.04, not have a room with Fisher P: 0.05 and T Student P: 0.042 not have an onw bed Fisher P: 0.041 and T Student P: 0.040, presence of stuffed animals Fisher P: 0.041 and t student p: 0.040, few cleaning in the street/rubbish with Fisher P: 0.05 and T Student P: 0.047, family record of asthma with Fisher P: 0.048 and T Student P: 0.038
