To determine if the osmolarity of saline solutions influences the treatment of allergic rhinitis in pediatric patients. Material and method: A prospective cohort analytical observational study was conducted in which children between 6 and 11 years old with symptoms of allergic rhinitis participated. The data of interest were those patients who were diagnosed with allergic rhinitis using the clinical score (TNSS) and entered the 4), it was defined whether the osmolarity of the saline solutions influences the treatment of allergic rhinitis as the clinical improvement evidenced by the reduction of the clinical score. Results: During January to June 2020, information was collected on children with symptoms of allergic rhinitis, who went to the Otorhinolaryngology service. Data from 156 patients were analyzed, which were divided into 2 groups consisting of 78 children each. These depended on whether they received isotonic saline or hypertonic saline in their treatment. No significant difference in clinical improvement was found (p> 0.05). 87.2% of children with rhinitis aged 6 to 11 years treated with hypertonic saline improved and 78.2% of children with rhinitis aged 6 to 11 years treated with isotonic saline improved. Conclusion: There were no differences in the therapeutic response with both solutions in pediatric patients with allergic rhinitis, both solutions give the same in terms of improvement
